925シルバーの平打に10金で透かし彫りを施した水引(菜の花結び)をモチーフにした指環。

水引(菜の花結び)には魔除けや人と人を結びつける意味があり、その起源には諸説ありますが、ある一説では飛鳥時代に遣隋使として派遣された小野妹子が持ち帰った献上品に、紅白に染め分けた麻ひもがかけられていたことが始まりだという説があります。
奈良時代には神職が身につける装飾品として使用され、宮中での献上品は紅白の麻紐で結ぶ習慣が広がるようになりました。
当時は「くれない」と呼ばれ、「みずひき」と呼ばれるようになったのは平安時代に入ってから。
麻紐であったものが、和紙となったのは室町時代からになります。
その後、庶民の生活に浸透し、日本独特の文化として定着したのは江戸時代になってからとされています。

水引の意味 :
1. 開封されていないという未開封を保証する意味
2. 魔よけの意味
3. ひもを引いて結ぶということから人と人を結びつける、繋げるという意味

It is said that it then became widespread in the lives of ordinary people and was established as a unique Japanese culture during the Edo period.

The meaning of Mizuhiki:

2. It means to ward off evil.
3. It means to connect people to each other because it is tied with a string.
